Responsible for producing crosssection images of patients internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues Interprets a physicians scanning instructions administering contrast materials preparing and operating the CT scan equipment and position the patient to capture the appropriate images Principal Accountabilities 1 Interprets CT Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam 2 Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards ALARA 3 Evaluates CT scans for technical quality 4 Utilizes EPIC Radiant and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation 5 Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector 6 Performs other related duties as assigned Required Accredited educational program related to the radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT Associates degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology Licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology Preferred CT Certification preferred LIAM1
