Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Electromechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives and small-scale engineering projects while collaborating with Controls Coordinators and Process Engineers to implement enhancements to manufacturing processes. The technician ensures compliance with BD Quality Systems, policies, procedures, and all applicable local, state, federal, and company safety requirements. Regular attendance, effective communication in English, and a commitment to BD's Values are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Support Controls Coordinators and Process Engineers with the implementation of process improvements involving mechanical systems, electrical systems, controls programming, robotics, and machine vision technologies.Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, including pneumatics, electric motors, variable frequency drives, and servo systems.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to maximize equipment reliability and performance.Diagnose, maintain, and repair Programmable Logic Controllers PLCs.Maintain and repair robotic systems and automated manufacturing equipment.Troubleshoot and maintain industrial communication networks.Perform scheduled maintenance, calibration, and validation
