The Patient Care Technician assists with the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility will be focus on performing technical, therapeutic, administrative tasks and procedures for which they have been trained. The Patient Care Technician must demonstrate the ability and willingness to participate in a patient care team as a multi-skilled caregiver responsible for quality of own work and remain flexible in response to change.Job Description:ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to:Vital SignsHeight and WeightOxygen SaturationReporting all unusual observations to the nurseCollecting various specimens for analysisRecording and measuring intake and outputProviding patient with personal care and assisting with daily activitiesPerforming basic clinical procedures independently or under the supervision of the RNProvide nutritional needs including assisting and ordering room service, setting up meal trays and feeding.
