1 Prepares procedure room and scrubsassist MD during cardiac catheterization and interventions including stent placements balloon angioplasties heart valve replacements andor EP procedures 2 Prepares and drapes patients for the process responds to their questions alleviating any concerns regarding the procedure and ensures patient comfort 3 Enters patient procedure and equipment details in the system 4 Monitors patient hemodynamic status during procedure including electrocardiogram blood pressure chest pain 5 Retrieves imaging and other pertinent data and all necessary calculations for physicians interpretation of results 6 Balances calibrates and records appropriate hemodynamic data as well as intervenes in cardiopulmonary emergencies 7 Operates equipment properly in a reliable manner per departmental standards complying with all safety guidelinespolicies 8 Performs other related duties as assigned
