This role combines high-complexity acute orthopedic trauma coverage at a Level I Trauma Center with an elective sports medicine clinical and surgical practice. The ideal candidate will bring surgical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to delivering high quality, patient-centered care within an academic medical center environment. Key Responsibilities Surgical & Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for acute orthopedic trauma, complex fractures, joint injuries, soft tissue reconstruction, and sports-related injuries. Trauma Call Coverage: Participate in the Level I Orthopedic Trauma call rotation, providing rapid evaluation, resuscitation, and operative management for polytrauma and urgent musculoskeletal conditions. Outpatient Clinic: Maintain a robust outpatient practice for sports medicine and post-trauma follow-up care across designated LHMC ambulatory sites. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with emergency medicine providers, general trauma surgery, radiology, physical therapy, and Advanced Practice Providers APPs to optimize clinical pathways. Quality & Education: Contribute to clinical quality initiatives, departmental research, and the clinical training of surgical residents, fellows, and advanced practice clinicians. Qualifications & Requirements Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Training: Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency program. Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma, Sports Medicine, or dual fellowship
