You will support mutual success with both the clients and NEI by providing quality deliverables that are on time and within the defined budget. Essential Responsibilities What you will do: 50% QA / QC work: Implement the NEI Quality Assurance Plan. Check the work of designers, drafters, and engineers for overall quality and accuracy. 20% Training: Train junior level engineers and designers in areas of physical design of electrical substations & BESS facilities. 20% Writing: Write technical go-bys and training documents. Assist with the creation and enforcement of technical standards across the department. Phase Manager (PPM): Your primary responsibility will be technical leadership, short-term focus on project scope, budget, and execution, and ensuring technical quality. Consult regularly with the Team Lead on key decisions and activities. Additional Responsibilities: Work closely with Directors, Project and Program Managers, and Team Leads on projects within the department – MC&I. Perform the review of detailed physical engineering for all aspects of electric power substations including multi-disciplinary coordination. Typical design products might include general arrangements, elevation views, site layout, bill of materials, equipment specifications, bus sizing for ampacity and structural requirements, grounding plan and details, and conduit plan and details.
