Position Description Job Title Capital Controller Department Finance Reports To Finance Manager Bulyanhulu Gold Mineis seeking to recruit a Capital Controller to join and grow our team The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective financial control monitoring reporting and administration of capital expenditure ensuring that capital projects and investments are accurately recorded and managed in accordance with company policies financial controls and applicable accounting standards Join our exceptional team and embody Barricks core values as you work with us We are in search of individuals who can champion Barricks DNA by Communicating Honestly Transparently and Acting with Integrity Exhibiting a ResultsDriven approach Delivering solutions that are Fit for Purpose Dedicating themselves to Building a Sustainable Legacy Taking Responsibility and being Accountable Committing to Zero Harm Cultivating strong and meaningful Partnerships If youre ready to contribute to our worldclass team while embracing these values we encourage you to apply and become a valued member of our diverse workforce Responsibilities Manage and monitor the organisations capital expenditure CAPEX portfolio Prepare and maintain capital expenditure budgets forecasts and variance analysis Review and control capital project expenditure against approved budgets and business cases Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of capital projects and fixed assets Monitor project commitments purchase orders invoices and accruals Perform monthly capital expenditure reconciliations and reporting Assist with capitalisation of assets and ensure assets are correctly classified and recorded Monitor project spend from initiation through to completion and handover Provide financial analysis and reporting to management on capital projects and expenditure Ensure compliance with internal controls financial policies and relevant accounting standards Support internal and external audits relating to capital expenditure and fixed assets Work closely with project managers procurement engineering operations and finance teams Identify financial risks control weaknesses and opportunities to improve CAPEX processes Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes Maintain accurate supporting documentation and audit trails for capital expenditure Qualification Requirements Bachelors degree inAccounting Finance Commerce or a related field Professional accounting qualification such asCPAT CIMA ACCAor equivalentwill be advantageous Relevant training or certification in capitalproject accounting or financial management will be an added advantage Experience and Skills Requirements 35 years relevant experiencein financial control management accounting capital accounting or a similar role Previous experience in themining minerals metals engineering or heavyindustrial sectoris strongly preferred Proven experience managing and controllingCAPEX budgets and capital projects Experience with fixed asset accounting capitalisation and asset registers Strong understanding of budgeting forecasting and financial variance analysis Experience working with ERP systemssuch asSAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics or similar Experience preparing management reports and financial analysis Demonstrated ability to work with crossfunctional teams in a projectdriven environment Experience dealing with auditors and maintaining strong financial controls What We Can Offer You A comprehensive compensation package including bonuses and sitespecific benefits The ability to make a difference and lasting impact Work in a dynamic collaborative progressive and highperforming team Opportunities to grow and learn with industry colleagues Access to a variety of career opportunities across the organization How to apply Applicants are invited to submit their CVsResumes online Please forward applications before 16 September 2026 Zero Tolerance for Corruption Barrick has a strict zerotolerance approach to bribery fraud and corruption Any attempt by a candidate to influence the recruitment process through bribery illegal inducements or offering giftsfavors to staff will result in the immediate disqualification of their application and may lead to legal action We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities Thank you for your application however only those selected for an interview will be contacted
