Coordinates provision of services with other nursing and medical functions and serves as a technical resource for departmental personnel. As an expert in the assigned area serves as a resource person to staff and physicians.Duties/Responsibilities:The role of the IR RN is to deliver a continued level of quality nursing care to patients who will utilize the services of Interventional Radiology, providing care of patients undergoing minimally invasive proceduresPre, post and intra procedural care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room populationsThe IR RN utilizes the nursing process as the frame of reference for practice as a professional registered nurse and provides direct nursing care to patients and familyAssists Interventional Radiologist and APP during proceduresWorks in collaboration with IR team, including IR technologists, MAs, Physicians, APPs, operational leadership, and other hospital colleagues in relation to procedures and daily workflowsThe radiology nurse will work collaboratively with respect to the implementation of orders as they are related to direct patient careGathers pertinent objective and subjective data using all available resourcesAssures, as appropriate, that a patient assessment and plan of care is in placeProvides direct patient care as specified by nursing directives or indications of treatments specified for maint
