Position Description nWould you like to have a career with a collaborative diverse and dynamic mining company We have an exciting opportunity for youNevada Gold Mines is looking for a Process Maintenance Technicianto join our Turquoise Ridge operations The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs of Ball and SAG mills gear boxes and agitators centrifugal pumps vibrating screens process crushing and conveying maintenanceAt Nevada Gold Mines our vision is to be the worlds most valued gold mining business by finding developing and operating the best assets with the best people We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communitiesn Responsibilities nReporting to the Process Maintenance Supervisor the Process Maintenance Technician is responsible for the followingnn Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs of Ball and SAG mills gear boxes and agitators centrifugal pumps vibrating screens process crushing and conveying maintenancen Perform crushing and conveying maintenance on equipment including but not limited to cone gyratory and jaw crushers and several types and configurations of conveyor belting structures both fixed and mobilen Perform other duties as assignednn Qualifications nn Excellent safety and attendance recordrequired n Millwright or similar with welding andor mechanical experiencerequired n Housekeeping standards are maintained to a high levelrequired n Willing to work in a teambased maintenance organizationrequired n Demonstrated ability to be selfdirected and work with minimum supervisionrequired n Ability to work in adverse weather conditionsrequired n Basic knowledge of mechanics hydraulics and pneumaticsrequired n Skilled in mild steel cutting and position weldingrequired n Ability to lift at least fifty 50 poundsrequired n Excellent verbal written and radio communication skillsrequired n Ability to perform the essential functions of this positionrequired n Experience with conveyors chutes crushers rollers pulleys and bearingspreferred n Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs of Ball and SAG mills gear boxes and agitators centrifugal pumps vibrating screenspreferred n Understanding of basic oil analysis thermography and vibration analysispreferred n Understanding of precision alignment techniquespreferred n The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this rolen
