Responsible for assisting the Production Manager in the overall management of operations to include quality product safety associate safety making production metrics staffing budgeting maintenance and raw material planning Provides advice and oversees standardization of recipes menu preparation portion cost and waste control Principal Accountabilities 1 Responsible for compliance on FSISFood Safety Inspection Service issues and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices GMP USDA requirements and State Agricultural standards2 Ensures performance targets of the team are achieved Reviews and analyzes performance reports and develops corrective actions to address substandard areas of performance3 Responsible for meeting daily weekly and period production objectives Develops methods to improve and exceed productivity standards4 Provide frequent production equipment monitoring to ensure proper lineequipment operation and GMP compliance Work with maintenance to ensure proper servicing level on equipment5 Trains Associates on all production equipment as needed Troubleshoots equipment problems to ensure maximum running time of equipment6 Meets production order demands on a timely basis by coordinating the production schedule for the team Supervises inventory levels to ensure dumpdonations remain at or better than goal7 Ensures the safety of the teams Associates by complying with the companys safety system Facilitates safety meetingstraining safety audits injury investigations Corrects unsafe conditions and behaviors Ensures the department remains compliant with all requirements policies and procedures as outlined by the Safety Manager8 Conducts weekly planning to identify staffing requirements raw material or capacity concerns9 Maintains a presence on the floor a minimum of 50 of the time10 Completes daily administrative tasks and monitor compliance of the Associates including completing performance management reports labor reconciliation Associate scheduling etc11 Communicates the teams performance with the coordinators and group leads Focus on developing teambased action plans to improve the department12 Performs other related duties as assignedrn
