OverviewOn behalf of our client a growing multisite distributor of largeformat home and commercial furnishings with distribution operations across the United States we are seeking an accomplished Vice President of Operations to unify and strengthen a nationwide distribution and customerservice network This is a true operating leadership role not a strategyonly seat You will build a disciplined scalable multisite operating model while improving service cost consistency accountability and execution across the network Reporting directly to ownership and partnering closely with the VP of Sales you will have direct influence over a nationwide operation real ownership of how it runs and visible impact on customers culture and resultsKey ResponsibilitiesStabilize leadership staffing safety and daily execution across the distribution center networkStandardize warehouse and customerservice procedures controls KPIs and operating routines companywideAssess and implement a practical hubandspoke operating model including facility roles capacity routing willcall and shipping methodsImprove carrier 3PL freight and lastmile delivery performanceOwn the national customerservice organization including customer experience response times openorder execution and service recoveryIdentify underperforming locations and leadership gaps and build concrete action plans to close themBuild SOPs budgets and performancemanagement processes that scale across a growing networkRecruit coach and develop a stronger permanent bench of local operating leadersStrengthen daytoday coordination between Operations Sales and other functions to build a customerfocused operating cultureSpend regular meaningful time inside facilities working alongside local teams not managing exclusively through reportsnbspRequirementsnbspRequired Qualifications10 years of progressive operations leadership experienceProven track record leading and improving complex multisite warehouse or distribution networksDemonstrated success stabilizing operations and developing capable local leadersSignificant experience with freight carrier 3PL routing transfers and lastmile deliveryExperience building SOPs KPIs budgets and performancemanagement processesStrong people leadership with meaningful safety and compliance responsibilityExcellent analytical judgment communication skills and business acumenComfortable spending substantial time onsite in distribution facilitiesBachelors degree or equivalent education combined with progressive operating experienceMust be authorized to work in the United StatesPreferred QualificationsDirect leadership of both distribution and customerservice functionsExperience with distributionfootprint rationalization or hubandspoke network designBackground in furniture building products appliances flooring cabinetscountertops commercial equipment plumbingHVAC or other bulky highcube product distributionInternational containerflow or import logistics
