firms in the countryAs the Senior Water Design Manager you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge to successfully lead and manage municipal waterwastewater and stormwater infrastructure treatment plants and pump station projects across Florida This position offers significant growth opportunities for advancement as you manage technical delivery of projects and build strong client relationships Role accountabilities The Senior Water Design Manager will lead the technical execution of pump station work and provide technical leadership to our team to deliver successful projects Some travel may be required to project site visits client meetings team meetings conferences etc Responsibilities include Serve as lead designer andor design manager of water wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants pump stations and hydraulic structures such as intakes andor gate projects Responsibilities include but are not limited to layout development hydraulic calculations equipment sizing and development of contract drawings and specificationsExercising engineering judgement to develop solutions to complex water infrastructure challengesCoordinate with clients Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams during all project phases from schematic design to constructionEngage in our national process mechanical practice serve as a technical resource for the region and provide mentoring of junior engineers to grow our teams capabilities in South FloridaParticipate in Arcadis quality culture by performing quality assurance and control reviews of water infrastructureEstablishing client relationships and supporting pump station marketing and pursuit effortsScoping and budgeting tasks for water infrastructure projects Qualifications Experience Required Qualifications 10 years of pump station design experience Bachelors Degree in Civil Environmental Mechanical Chemical Engineering or a related field of study Florida PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months Key Skills and Attributes Excellent technical engineering in design of water wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants and pump stations Strong clear and concise written and oral communication skills and excellent technical writing skills Experience managing preparation of and reviewing and approving project drawings specifications schedules and cost estimates Client relationship skills including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful track record of delivering various engineering projects to the expectations of the client Functional experience with MS Office applications Preferred Qualifications 15 years of experience Masters degree in Civil Environmental or Mechanical Engineering or an MBA Experience with large and complex water wastewater and stormwater infrastructure Experience with complex pumping systems such as diesel driven pumps Familiarity with pump station design
