description n We are seeking an experienced Project Manager II to lead and manage complex educational facility construction projects ranging from 5 million to 100 million in value This role is ideal for a proactive construction management professional with expertise across the full project lifecycle from planning and design through construction occupancy and closeout This onsite position will support client projects throughout the Los Angeles area n The Project Manager II serves as a key liaison between stakeholders design teams contractors regulatory agencies and campus leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely on schedule within budget and in compliance with all applicable standards and regulations n Key Responsibilities nn Manage multiple capital construction projects simultaneously overseeing all phases of project delivery n Monitor project scope schedule budget staffing risks and overall performance n Provide regular project status updates recommendations and strategic guidance to senior leadership and project stakeholders n Ensure adherence to established project management procedures construction standards and regulatory requirements n Perform field observations and construction site reviews to verify compliance with design documents codes and applicable regulatory requirements n Coordinate with architects engineers contractors inspectors and regulatory agencies to resolve complex construction issues n Review and evaluate project documentation schedules RFIs submittals change orders and project reports n Identify project risks through field observations and project analysis n Develop mitigation strategies and maintain project risk registers n Monitor emerging risks and proactively implement corrective actions to minimize impacts on project objectives n Collaborate with college representatives design professionals contractors and project teams to develop and execute construction phasing and swingspace strategies n Facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful implementation n Present project updates and recommendations to campus leadership district representatives and program management offices n Lead project closeout activities ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements n Coordinate occupancy planning FFE installation asset disposition relocation efforts and final documentation n Verify completion of punchlist items warranties record documents and regulatory approvals n Provide guidance and mentorship to project team members n Support planning programming and design activities for future campus projects n Assist with reporting presentations and strategic planning initiatives nn Required Qualifications nn Bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering Construction Management Urban Planning or a closely related field n 7 years of experience managing multiple construction projects n At least two 2 years of experience in educational facility design and construction n Four 4 additional years of qualifying construction project management experience may be substituted for the required degree n Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities nn Preferred Qualifications nn Experience working within a large capital improvement program n Knowledge of the California Public Contract Code and publicsector procurement processes n Experience with formal construction partnering methodologies n Experience with Division of the State Architect DSA design and construction processes or similar regulatory environments n Thorough understanding of all project lifecycle phases including planning design construction and closeout n Experience with alternative project delivery methods n Strong leadership negotiation communication and problemsolving skills nn Professional Certifications Preferred nn Licensed Architect California Architectural Board n Professional Engineer California Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors n Certified Construction Manager CCM n PMP or other recognized project management certification nn Why Arcadis n We can only achieve our
