Responsibilities include but are not limited to Identifies cases through predetermined filters and performs case reviews Conducts initial review of cases to determine appropriateness for Committee review Selects and assigns cases to peers for review in consultation with Committee Chairs Performs clinical data abstraction and analysis for the Emergency General Surgery EGS and Surgery Quality Performance Improvement Programs Provides clinical support to the programs Establish and maintain a functional system of collaboration for programmatic data and quality improvement needs Works closely with key personnel to ensure data accuracy and meaningful QI initiatives Maintains collaborative working relationship with Medical Directors and key personnel to meet program goals Attends Committee meetings and records minutes and discussion points on case presentations Generates correspondence to surgeons whose cases were reviewed to request additional information Tracks attendance and is responsible for meeting related correspondence reminders meeting invitations etc Maintains Committee rosters attendance and case volume logs Provides dedicated support for Surgical PI and EGSspecific quality improvement activities Assists in the administrative functions of the EGS Program
