Stantecs Buildings team is on a mission to become the worlds leading integrated design practice Our architects engineers interior designers consultants sustainability specialists and technologists are passionate about the power of design Our collaborative culture and our innovative sustainable approach to projects help us create buildings that matter to our world Together we are enhancing the quality of life globally through design Join us and design your place with Stantec Your Opportunity The Stantec Vancouver office has a vibrant and dynamic environment with unparalleled opportunities for professional growth Our projects vary in size ranging from small commercial developments to municipal government community and private sector developments and facilities Your Key Responsibilities Prepare contract drawings schematics schedules details and sketches from conceptual design through to construction Assist in the design of building related mechanical systems including HVAC Plumbing and Fire Protection systems using applicable codes standards and reference materials Review equipment selections perform preliminary engineering calculations and develop preliminary designs Produce aspects of mechanical design and drawings in REVIT and other software Follow production guidelines and project standards in the department drafting standards manual Work closely with the Mechanical Engineer and engineering group in recommending the best use of project tools to achieve project objectives troubleshoot and resolve issues with the project tools Ensure the assurance of quality consistency and integrity of the electronic handover of deliverables Assist with periodic field reviews of construction and construction administration tasks conduct shop drawing reviews respond to RFIs prepare documentation for site instructions or change requests Perform field surveys for drawing development site reviews and asbuilt drawings Performs thorough quality control of construction documents Work as a contributing team member within a multidiscipline team Communicate with other team members and become familiar with Stantec standards to complete assignments and projects in a timely manner as required Understand and execute andor direct work within Stantecs quality control guidelines Comply with Stantecs HSSE program with a focus on safety in the field
