Your Opportunity nAn opportunity exists for a Senior Water Resources Engineer with an emphasis in urban stormwater systems We are seeking an enthusiastic selfmotivated detailoriented team player that is excited about taking on a new challenge If you are interested in leading urban water resources work this is an exceptional opportunity to bring your capability to the Water Group and join a highly regarded and professional teamnThe role of the Senior Water Resources Engineer is to lead teams on small and large projects as well as be a team member You will perform a variety of tasks which may include business development project management design and analysis of water conveyance systems coordination of tasks and personnel occasional field work quality control and mentoring junior staff The projects may have complex features that will require the application of mature knowledge and experience You will lead the proposed projects to ensure accurate hydraulic analysis resource efficiency and costeffectiveness Projects may include flood plain management hydrology and hydraulics HH floodplain modeling and mapping environmental restoration and stormwater infrastructure design with the goals ofn Delivering highquality productsoutcomesn Meeting financial and timeline constraintsn Achieving client satisfactionn Your Key Responsibilities nAs Senior Water Resources Engineer you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of successful water resources projects by helping develop costeffective practical designs and construction solutions for our clients You will interact internally throughout the organization with staff at all levels as well as clients members of professional organizations subcontractors and other firms Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the followingnn Oversee and manage multiple projects May be responsible for large projects of high complexityn Develop project scope budgets and design approach for all size projectsn Lead marketing and business development in positioning for potential projects writing technical portions of proposals participating in client interviews and supporting negotiations for project contractsn Serve as EngineerofRecordn Provide technical leadership for civil related projects including the management of existing client relationships and bringing in new clientsn Prepare andor oversee the preparation of technical reports and design briefsn Perform technically complex projects and act as a technical resource by providing guidance to other team membersn Supervise the work of other engineers including setting the priorities for their scope of work their budgets and their schedules for completing the workn Coach and train junior staffn May perform or assist Project Manager andor Project Technical Lead with managing and monitoring financial performance of project budgetsn Review and conduct alternative analyses to support business case evaluations for making project decisionsn Manage and lead others while working on projects and developing design assigns reviews and evaluate work for technical accuracy and completeness advises on technical problemsn Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members andor external consultants owner and contractor subcontractors and vendorsn Lead client project requirement meetings value analysis and cost estimatingn Lead the preparation and coordination of project specifications with construction documentsn Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peersn Serve as the Projects point of contact with clients agencies and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvalsn Remain current on regulatory policy and rule changes and may establish working relationships with regulatory officialsn Engage in leadership in professional organizations that align with expertise write technical papers and delivers technical presentations for conference and symposia eventsn Assist andor lead the development of proposals and contract negotiationn Conduct work in a safe manner and promote health and safety within the office and outside the office while visiting clients and job sitesn
