Your Opportunity nStantecs multidisciplinary office in Naples Florida has an opportunity for a Civil Engineer Intern to join our Infrastructure teamnWe are seeking a candidate with experience in professional practice and design related to land developmentcommunity developmentThis position will be involved with significant projects interact with clients and government agencies and effectively working with a teamnResponsibilities include design and preparation of site grading drainage erosion control and utility plans as well as design reports This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated energetic professional who is interested in growth on a professional and personal level We offer all candidates the opportunity to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environmentnOur office is located in Naples Collier County Florida The projects weve worked on have helped restore and enhance the Citys and Countys heritage while demonstrating our commitment to the community in which we live and work Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each others talents do exciting work and make an impact on the world around us Join us and redefine your personal bestn Your Key Responsibilities nn Supports project team in development of design documentation plans and reports for relevant project design elementsn Prepares and revises documentation required for land development permitting through local state and federal jurisdictionsn Performs quality reviews for documents in various project phases including construction plans reviewing agency submittal packages and engineering calculation reportsn Assist in preparing engineering calculation reports including but not limited to stormwater design potable water design sanitary sewer design and roadway designn Attends project coordination meetings with internal team members andor external consultantsn Takes sufficient notes at all meetings in order to organize efforts and follow through with requested deliverablesn Coordinates and keeps consistent communication with other disciplines to ensure entire design team has same design intent and is on schedulen Prepares and coordinates submittals to permitting entitiesn Assists in the review of shop drawings and submittals responds to request for information prepares site observation reports and performs other construction administration tasksn Assists in the evaluation and selection of civil systems and materialsn Participates in value engineering and basic cost estimatingn Performs calculations to analyze and design civil system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer softwaren Ready to step in and assist with any of design teams tasks in order to complete project on time and with quality designn
