Your Opportunity nOur Buildings Government Services team is looking for a Mechanical Engineer You will work under general supervision and direction on tasks and smaller projects and as a team member of larger projects under the guidance of a Senior EngineerDesigner You will assist in evaluating selecting specifying and engineering certain Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning HVAC building systems for a project verifying compliance with applicable codes and internal engineering standards practices You will perform a variety of tasks which may include Revit modeling preparing design drawings performing system calculations ductwork design piping design specifying equipment field survey work and construction administrationn Your Key Responsibilities nn Work with a team of design colleagues to conceptualize and develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projectsn Evaluate select specify and engineer mechanical HVAC systems for a projectn Engage in the development of a design through sketches electronic models diagrams and other visual formatsn Utilize Building Information Modeling BIM technologies in development of threedimensional models of buildings mechanical systemsn Prepare and revise documentation in various mechanical phases including site plans floor plans diagrams and detailsn Participate in project coordination meetings with internal team members andor external consultants owner contractor subcontractors and vendorsn Participate in client contact on projects to establish design criteria review design progress as well as providing support through construction administrationn Support the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documentsn Conduct field surveys of existing conditions of building spacesn Prepare field reports and punch lists n n
