Your Opportunity Our Buildings team in Raleigh NC is seeking an enthusiastic Structural Engineer to collaborate on the design of facilities with Architects Interior Designers and other Buildings Engineers The position will provide structural support for higher education commercial federal municipal and industrial building projects as part of the integrated services design team Your Key Responsibilities Engages in the development of structural design through sketches electronic models diagrams and other visual formats Performs design calculations per code and client requirements Collaborates with structural team lead for structural design and overall management of projects as part of a project team Works closely with team lead and other engineers on large projects of high complexity Provides mentoring and assists in training of structural designers and EITs Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers Prepares and revises documentation in various structural phases including site plans floor plans diagrams and details Utilizes BIM technologies in the development of threedimensional models of buildings structural systems and provides markups for junior engineersdesigners Provides review of shop drawings and submittals responds to RFIs prepares site observation reports and performs other contract administration tasks Assists with the development of proposals for projects of varying size and complexity
