Landscape Technologist Ottawa ON n Overview n Strong communities dont just happentheyre built Theyre creatively imagined collaboratively planned and ready to face tomorrow with optimism Were driving the future of Community Development Our experts lead their fields collaborating on projects that are as technically challenging as they are impactful creative and fulfilling Were a place where you can apply your passionand find endless opportunities to help make communities more equitable resilient and livable n Our experienced interdisciplinary team specializes in parks and open spaces urban public spaces multiuse pathways roadway enhancements commercial and residential developments wetland creation habitat enhancements watercourse restoration urban forestry and low impact development We connect the people places and resources that take a project from concept to reality n Your Opportunity n Stantec Ottawa Office is seeking an experienced Landscape Technologist on a oneyear contract to join our Ottawa team and assist on projects Our location in the National Capital Region provides many unique opportunities to work on projects of local and national significance for private and government clients This is a great opportunity for a motivated energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment n Your Key Responsibilities n You will work with general supervision and direction on a variety of projects ranging in size from urban infill projects to parks and campus developments as a team member of a larger project in collaboration with other professionals and experts n Key responsibilities include but are not limited to nn Conduct site investigations and construction inspections n Perform onsite thorough quality control and compliance reviews of implemented areas against construction documents and provide inspection reports and notes n Prepare preliminary design documents including drawings and sketches for projects n Support the team of Landscape Architects in designing sites including but not limited to grading layout planting and detailing n Assist with the coordination of design and specifications within the context of a multidisciplinary landscape design team n Produce construction drawings and plans using computeraided drafting programs n Assist design team in the preparation of cost estimates budgets and construction take offs n Prepare presentation material for different levels of consultation n
