This role emphasizes end-to-end SCADA engineering for BESS facilities, including integration with Energy Management Systems EMS, Battery Management Systems BMS, Power Conversion Systems PCS, and utility communication systems. The candidate will support conceptual and detailed engineering activities including controls architecture, network design, communications, telemetry, data mapping, and system integration across the full project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Develop engineering design documents and deliverables for SCADA systems supporting BESS projects. Design and coordinate SCADA system architecture integrating BMS, EMS, PCS, and PPC systems. Develop control narratives, data mapping, alarms, and monitoring strategies. Lead and participate in design reviews 30%, 60%, 90%, IFC. Coordinate SCADA scope with utility interconnection and grid compliance requirements. Support vendor selection, specifications, and design reviews. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities. Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting during commissioning. Provide field and remote support to construction teams and clients Management Responsibilities Preferred Qualifications Experience with utility-scale BESS projects. Familiarity with EMS, BMS, PCS, and PPC systems. Experience with SEL RTAC and related hardware. Knowledge of DNP3, Modbus TCP/IP, IEC 61850. Knowledge of NERC CIP, PRC-028, IEEE 2800 standards.
