Performs major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures and oversees work of less-experienced associates by determining scopes of work for projects. Utilizes multiple craft skills for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment to inspect, operate, or test systems to diagnose issues. Dismantles equipment to access and remove defective parts. Uses blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
Trains a Developmental Technician for on-the-job training and hands-on instruction. Deliver hands-on training sessions on safety, control troubleshooting, and system operations at company facilities, offsite locations, or vendor sites.
Ensures financial sustainability and manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing required written and electronic information for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs. Conducts price comparisons of parts and travel related costs. Orders and tracks parts and replacement equipment. Records purchases and usage. Manages parts inventory. Reviews journals and invoices. Compiles and reports budget information. Develops relationships with local parts suppliers and contractors. Ensures contractors follow company quality standards, safety requirements, and contract requirements. Identifies and reports deficiencies.
