Position Summary...What you'll do...Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines. Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures. Observes and documents signs of wear and tear. Gathers capital expense information. Recommends repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs. Determines replacement needs. Documents preventive maintenance activities. Uses heavy machinery.
May be assigned a Developmental Technician to accompany them for on-the-job training, including pickup at designated store locations and hands-on instruction for Technician-level associates.
Delivers hands-on training sessions on safety, control troubleshooting, and system operations at company facilities, offsite locations, or vendor sites.
Performs major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures and oversees work of less-experienced associates by determining scopes of work for projects. Serves as a job foreman on assigned work sites. Utilizes multiple craft skills for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment. Inspects, operates, or tests facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Dismantles equipment, machines, or facilities to access and remove defective parts. Diagnoses problems utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. Utilizes hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment. Responds to emergency calls. Documents repair activities. Evaluates Technicians' skill sets. Provides on-site training sessions. Performs on-site repairs for hands-on learning. Ensures completed work meets or exceeds quality, safety, and code requirements.
