When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.Performs duties to redecorate or renovate hospital areas including the preparation of all surfaces and application of paint or other finishes to facilities, furniture, equipment, outside structures, etc.Job Description:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager or the Director of Plant Operations, following established hospital policies and procedures perform a variety of duties involving maintenance of painted and similarly finished surfaces of buildings, equipment, furniture, and outside areas. Shall prepare all surfaces to be painted and repair cracks, holes as required. Work with plaster, sheetrock, concrete, etc. as necessary to maintain or refinish various surfaces. Work with other tradesmen as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Director.In addition to the direct duties performed as a painter, the individual is expected to complete other related job assignments. These additional assignments may include but are not limited to demolition, general construction and maintenance handy work. May also perform other duties directly or indirectly related as may be necessary on an emergency, temporary or limited basis.Proper safety precautions shall be practiced at all times. Protective equipment i.e. goggles, gloves, face shield and chemical resistive clothing shall be worn when handling hazardous or toxic chemicals.May be required to perform similar or other related duties as may be necessary on an emergency basis or as designated by the department manager or senior management staff. Must perform all duties in accordance with safety and other laws, rules and regulations set forth by appropriate regulatory and government agencies and in accordance with established department and hospital policies and procedures.
