May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers.Key Responsibilities . Use appropriate hand i e hammer, screwdriver, broom, sledge hammer and power tools i e sand blasting equipment, grinders, hand compactors to perform a variety of functions including, but not limited to, digging, spreading and leveling dirt and gravel, using pick, shovel and wheelbarrow . Lift, carry, hold and move building materials, tools, and supplies . Clean tools, equipment, material, and work areas; mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials . Perform a variety of routine, non-machine tasks, such as removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, placing culvert sections in trench, assembling sections of dredge pipeline, driving stakes . Perform cleaning, compacting, grading, painting, sanding or stripping operations; worker may spend time on one job or may be transferred from task to task as the project progresses to completion . Help lubricate, clean, or repair machinery, equipment, or tools . Participate in all safety related processes and programs as requested Engage with your work team to ensure we achieve zero injuries Understand that no job is so important that your safety and that of your crew will be compromised Watch for hazards and report any concerns to your supervisor or safety professional If needed, use your stop work authority until the issue is resolved .
