Department Profile: At Duke Primary Care Midtown , our dedicated health care team—including family care doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants—provides comprehensive medical care for patients of all ages. We offer a range of services, including annual physical exams, health screenings, preventive care, and diagnostics. Our team supports smoking cessation and treats acute illnesses like flu and colds while administering immunizations, including annual flu shots and travel vaccinations. We also provide diabetes education, nutrition counseling, and women’s health services, such as PAP smears and breast exams. For infants, children, and adolescents, we deliver well-childcare, routine check-ups, and school physicals, ensuring holistic management of conditions like allergies, asthma, and diabetes for all our patients. Clinic Location and Hours: Open 8am - 5pm Summary The Clinic Manager is responsible for the daily operational, clinical non-nursing, administrative, and patient service functions of one or more ambulatory clinic locations. This role ensures high-quality patientcare, efficient clinic operations, and compliance with DUHS policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Clinic Manager oversees clinic staff, coordinates resources, supports physician and advanced practice provider teams, and drives performance improvement initiatives. This position reports to the Practice Administrator, and up to the Ambulatory Operations Director to align clinic performance with service line and organizational goals. This role actively participates in planning, resource allocation, and change management efforts within the assigned clinics. Work Performed Oversee daily clinic operations, including patient flow, appointment scheduling, access metrics, and service recovery; ensure operational readiness and a patient-centered experience. Supervise and coordinate clinic staff all clinical but non-nursing, including scheduling, assignment of duties, performance evaluation, and training. Monitor and manage operational metrics volumes, productivity, access, and wait times to ensure service excellence and efficiency.
