The District’s responsibilities extend to approximately 1,500 channels spanning nearly 2,500 miles, over 60 regional stormwater detention basins covering more than 10,000 acres, and several wetlands mitigation banks. Essential Functions and Duties: Field Inspection & Compliance Conducts routine, random, and scheduled inspections of County construction projects, maintenance activities, and facilities to identify hazards and verify compliance with established safety requirements. Use the Universal Site Inspection Checklist and established department procedures to evaluate worksite conditions. Verify basic compliance with County safety requirements, applicable OSHA standards, contractual requirements, and established safe work practices. Observe work activities and identify readily recognizable hazards, unsafe conditions, and apparent safety violations. Review basic contractor safety documentation and records using established procedures. Immediately report serious hazards or potential imminent danger conditions to senior safety personnel, the Health and Safety Manager, or the appropriate Project Manager. Hazards & Corrective Actions Communicate identified safety deficiencies and required corrective actions to contractors and appropriate County personnel. Document non-compliant conditions using established forms and procedures. Verify completion of assigned corrective actions. Escalate unresolved, recurring, serious, or unfamiliar safety conditions to senior safety personnel or management. Assist with follow-up inspections. Worker Complaints Receive worker safety complaints and record required information in the County's tracking system. Provide applicable case information and expected response timelines. Maintain worker confidentiality to the extent required by County policy. Assist senior safety personnel with complaint investigations and field verification. Reporting & Documentation Photograph or video site conditions and identify safety deficiencies. Prepare accurate inspection reports using established County formats and procedures. Maintain inspecti
