We’re a company of doers, thinkers and builders, united by purpose and grounded in reality. ; ; If you want to put your skills to work where the stakes are real and the mission is bigger than any one person, forge the future with Voyager. ; ; The Cable Harness Engineer for Voyager Lunar Systems is responsible for designing wiring harness assemblies for lunar landers and other flight vehicles that will survive harsh environmental conditions. ; The position reports to the Electronic Systems Manager and is part of Voyager Lunar Systemsbased in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is hybrid based in Pittsburgh, PA. ; In this role, the essential functions are: Design wiring harness assemblies for lunar landers and other flight vehicles that will survive harsh environmental conditions. Ensure compatibility of all wiring harness components. Perform accurate bend radii checks, voltage drop analysis, and harness mass calculations Execute parts standardization, and resolving issues with connectors, backshells, shielding and associated parts. Connector selection, including Mil-Spec and high-reliability interconnect types Defining design parameters including twisting, shielding, and gauge selection Create 2D harness schematics and harness layout drawings for in-house harness manufacturing team and/or external vendors.
