The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining mission-critical software and software-enabled systems supporting Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), national security, defense, and space applications. The position reports to the Engineering Manager and is part of the Software Engineering Department. Relocation assistance may be provided to qualified candidates to the following locations: Folsom, CA; Long Beach, CA; El Segundo, CA; Dayton, OH. In this role, the essential functions are: Design, develop, integrate, and maintain reliable software applications and services supporting ISR, defense, space, and national security missions. Translate mission, system, and software requirements into scalable, maintainable software architectures, designs, interfaces, and technical solutions. Develop software using modern programming languages such as C++, Python, Java, C#, Rust, or similar technologies, as appropriate to the program. Develop and execute unit, integration, system, and automated tests; troubleshoot defects and performance issues; and support software verification and validation activities.
