Job Summary Langan is seeking an experienced Environmental Field Technician to join its collaborative team in New York City or Melville, Long Island. This individual will serve a key function in assisting in environmental field work by collecting field data, documenting material handling and disposal, and supporting a dynamic large-scale construction project in Lower Manhattan. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of top-notch professionals and to collaborate and learn from our multi-disciplinary team of site/civil, geotechnical, and environmental professionals on a high-profile project in Lower Manhattan. Job Responsibilities Review, interpret and understand community air monitoring data and coordinate response actions with site contractors; Track and log disposal of excavated materials of varying contaminant profiles and import of environmentally clean backfill Assist with conducting various types of environmental monitoring (water, air, asbestos, lead) using basic field instruments; Collaborate with other on-site Langan personnel (e.g., geotechnical inspectors); Operate and maintain various remedial systems, such as drills, pumps, electrical equipment; Assemble and maintain field equipment and systems; inspect equipment and troubleshoot as necessary; Produce timely and detailed ..
