Job Summary Langan is seeking a Senior Waterfront/Structural Engineer to join its collaborative team in New York City or Melville, Long Island. This individual will play a key role on projects along the shoreline and will assist in creating design documents for various waterfront structures such as bulkheads, retaining walls, piers, platforms, revetments, breakwaters, fenders, docks, flood resiliency measures, and more. Job Responsibilities Assist project manager with field work coordination and project management support; Assist with the planning and execution of field investigations; Inventory and assess the condition of existing waterfront structures; Observe waterfront construction activities and monitoring conformance with the construction documents; Conduct file reviews, site reconnaissance, and document searches; Assist in preparation of plans and details using computer aided design methods; Perform structural and geotechnical design related to waterfront structures and general site construction; Assist in the preparation of various design deliverables, technical reports and permit applications; Accurately document and communicate with supervisor on any problems encountered on project sites; and Perform other duties as requested.
