Job Summary Langan is seeking a Staff Scientist to join its Natural Resources team in Arlington, VA. This individual will serve a key function in assisting with the natural resource planning, assessment and natural resource permitting of land development and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally with top industry leadership on a variety of land development and infrastructure projects. Job Responsibilities Assists with the natural resource planning, assessment and permitting of land development and infrastructure projects; Performs natural resource and permitting compliance assessments, and determines the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of collected natural resource related data; Prepares natural resource assessments and figures using GIS and AutoCAD software; Effectively uses reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess natural resources and their impact on the planning and design of projects; Provides field inspection and natural resource identification services, as needed; and Performs other duties as requested.
