Days and Shifts Monday Friday 100PM900PM includes every other Saturday Sunday Responsible for patientfacing registration and other associated tasks like information collection validation and requisitioning of orders and services Participates in Insurancerelated tasks including but not limited to verification collection of copayments and collection of associated paperwork Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies and protocols Acts as a liaison between patients providers payers and other related stakeholders for all postcare matters related to account resolution Principal Accountabilities 1 Obtains and verifies patient information for registration2 Maintains contact with thirdparty payers to determine reasons for outstanding claims and communicates to facilitate speedy payment of claims3 Requests payment of financial dues from patient or guarantor4 Obtains federally required and hospital related consents in a timely manner5 Reconciles daily bank bags and posts dues collected andor data entry or charge codes within the financial system6 Ensures compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act HIPAA and works in various patient settings and locations7 Performs other related duties as assigned
