Responsible for assisting the anesthesia care provider with preparing and using equipments providing supplies and medications during the administration of anesthesia Assists with special procedures and provides support in anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases Performs under general supervision of the licensed anesthesia care provider designated by the client facility Principal Accountabilities n 1 Provides anesthesia technician services to patients under direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia care providern 2 Cleans sterilizes disinfects ordersstocks and maintains routine anesthesia equipmentsn 3 Maintains anesthesia medications supplies and equipments according to the needs and schedulesn 4 Prepares and maintains patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems pre intra and post anesthesia and with consideration and knowledge of agespecific issues related to meeting the needs of the various patient groupsn 5 Performs basic troubleshooting for monitors and equipments and reports defects or malfunctions in equipments appropriatelyimmediatelyn 6 Maintains established departmental policies procedures quality improvement safety environmental and infection control standardsn 7 Documents and maintains preventative maintenance and quality recordsn 8 Assists with transportation of patients and laboratory specimens as necessaryn 9 Participates in multidisciplinary roundsmeetings as neededn 10 Performs other related duties as assigned
